The interview will be conducted by an Ecuadorian prosecutor. Chief prosecutor Ingrid Isgren and a Swedish police investigator have been allowed to be present to ask questions through the Ecuadorian prosecutor.

- I welcome the fact that the investigation will move forward, says Director of Prosecution Marianne Ny, who is responsible for the investigation.

The results of the investigative matters conducted by the Ecuadorian prosecutor will later be reported from Ecuador. After the report, the Swedish prosecutor will take a view on the continuing of the investigation.

At present, the prosecutors cannot provide more information.
